Thanks for the feedback! I’ve included some basic instructions and a link to an apple article about shell scripting. I also changed the theme of my site because it was hiding the link to the original forum post, but it should be visible now.

Unfortunately I didn’t save the flame file for this batch but I will start saving them so hopefully next time someone asks I can send them the flame.

I use oxidizer to generate the flame files then I use Flam4Cuda to render them. I used Apophysis when I was on windows and Linux machines.

I hope its ok if I comment on several images in your gallery. I’ve spent many hours working on my orbit generation program, and am very interested in your fractal renders.
For this particular one I was curious which set and mutation you used to achieve the centerpiece.

Very nice color scheme! If you don’t mind me asking, what program did you use to generate this fractal? I am in the process of uploading some of my work to my website, including apophysis, sterling war 2, and my own program’s fractals and orbits images.

I think part of it is I don’t have great mobility in my left pinky so I end up compensating for it by moving my left hand so that my ringer finger is easier to use.

I moved to home-row when I was 16-17ish. Got up to speed in a couple weeks. Typing definitely felt much more fluid once I moved. It is especially handy in Vi, as the movement keys are all on the home-row.

I’d recommend getting an ergo keyboard. Home-row typing on an ergo feels extremely natural, and the separated keys will help train you out of the hunt method.
